Kobelt Marine Engine Controls – Push Pull

Kobelt push-pull marine engine controls are manufactured in Canada in corrosion-resistant bronze and stainless steel, instead of pewter, steel and plastic. Excellence in engineering and the use of the best materials put Kobelt into an exclusive class in terms of quality and performance.

There are many models and styles to choose from. Some models and styles must be special ordered which would take approximately 2 to 3 weeks for delivery. We normally stock the Kobelt T handles (shown on the control on the left) and on some models, the curved handles (shown on the control with the red ball grip). The following controls are normal stocking items.

Note: For models 2009 and 2015 – each additional station or engine requires an additional control.

THROTTLE EXTENSION KITS, which increase the throttle travel by about 3/4” to 1”, are available for models 2046 and 2047 controls.

SAFETY NEUTRAL SWITCH KITS are available for all controls.

For larger vessels, Kobelt manufactures a complete line of pneumatic and electronic controls. As with their hydraulic steering components and push-pull controls, corrosion-resistant bronze and stainless steel are their metals of choice, combined with excellence in design and engineering. These are not kept in stock, but they may be special ordered. Please allow approximately 2 to 3 weeks for delivery.

Felsted Cables

Felsted Engine Control Cables

45808 series, 43 series and 33 series
(Can you tie your cable in a knot and still operate it smoothly?)

To complement our Kobelt push-pull controls, we offer cables manufactured by Felsted. These are the only cables recommended by Kobelt for use on their controls. Similar to the Morse Red Jacket Supreme, but they have a 3” minimum bend radius instead of Morse’s 4” minimum bend radius, plus, they feature a rod bearing in the end fitting.

The difference can be experienced during installation and especially when used under a load. Only the small boat, industry standard, 33 series (from 5’ to 35’ in one-foot increments) are kept in stock. The 43 series and 45808 series must be special ordered and normally takes about 1 week for delivery. The 43 series cables are for longer cable runs or when higher push-pull loads are required. The 45808 cables are pull-pull cables for exclusive use between the master and the remote stations of Kobelt’s 2090 series controls.

We only sell cables with the connection ends made entirely of stainless steel.

Please be aware, Felsted also manufactures these cables with some end parts made of aluminum or steel for the transportation industry and are not intended for marine use.
